For our 5-day away week we will be staying at the Hill House cottage in the Cotswolds discussing the relative strengths and weaknesses of symbolic and non-symbolic neural networks.  Key questions include how to implement symbolic computations in neural networks, and whether they are necessary in various domains, including vision, language, memory, and reasoning.
